PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sun visor for a vehicle and a method for manufacturing thereof capable of easily inserting a terminal insertion part of an armor skin into between first and second half shells, and enhancing the productivity of the sun visor. SOLUTION: This sun visor for a vehicle has a sun visor main body 10 formed in a hollow shape by closing first and second half shells 11, 21; and an armor skin 60 covering the sun visor main body 10. Temporary locking means 13, 24 for locking the first and second half shells 11, 21 in temporary locking positions at a distance of a gap for skin insertion into which the terminal insertion part 61 of the armor skin 60 can be inserted, and closing means 14, 26 for locking the first and second half shells 11, 21 in a position closing by interposing the terminal insertion part 61 of the armor skin 60 between the half shells 11, 21 are installed between the first and second half shells 11, 21.
