The spectral composition is measured in cyclically increasing and reducing wavelength in the position of spectral intensity distribution center of more intensive of luminous fluxes. One more version of the method involves cyclically varying intensity ratio of the luminous fluxes. One luminous flux builds vision stimulus images on the retina. The other one builds color backgrounds of the vision stimuli. One of the luminous fluxes in turn made is made more intensive. The spectral compositions are built at different wavelength values in the position of spectral intensity distribution centers of the luminous fluxes. The device has means for varying color and brightness properties of the vision stimuli and their color backgrounds. The means enables one to cyclically vary color and brightness properties of the vision stimuli more bright relatively to one another and their color backgrounds. The wavelength values in the center of the spectral intensity distribution of more intensive of the luminous fluxes are different.
