RESIN COMPOSITE MATERIAL AND PRODUCTION OF THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composite material excellent in low friction factor, abrasion resistance, high strength and thermostability, and provide a method of producing the same. SOLUTION: The resin composite material is composed of the first material containing a thermoplastic resin fiber or particle or fiber and particle as reinforcing component and the second material having a thermoplastic resin different from the above first material as matrix. The above resin composite material is characterized in that the first material of above reinforcing component is composed of a porous material formed by the thermoplastic fiber or particle and at the same time, the above thermoplastic resin fiber or particle is partially melt bonded to each other or through a material having lower melting point than above thermoplastic resin material or a material capable of forming this lower melting point material. The method of producing the resin composite material is characterized by impregnating the second thermoplastic resin material forming matrix by heating and melting in voids of porous material of the above first material to be composited.
