PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary retractable writing utensil which can be carried by its user when a writing unit is retracted into a barrel. SOLUTION: This rotary retractable writing utensil is formed such that a writing unit is projected from an retracted into the barrel by rotating the barrel and a rotary member relatively. A cam cylinder with a slide arranged in a freely sliding manner is provided and a rotor part of the rotary member is inserted into the cam cylinder. Further, a cam face for sliding the writing unit formed at the tip of the rotor part and the slide are brought into contact with each other, and the writing unit urged backward is arranged forward of the slide. In the rotary retractable writing utensil of the described construction, a clip barrel part connected to a clip part is arranged in a rear barrel so that a clip receiving part of the rotary member is inserted into the clip barrel part and a cam face for moving a clip is formed on the inner wall of the clip barrel part. In addition, a cam part for moving the clip is formed on the outer wall of the clip receiving part. |
