PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of assisting to learn how to operate chopsticks. SOLUTION: A hook-and-loop fastener (trade mark of MAGIC TAPE, etc.), is wound around a third finger tip and an index finger root, and a hook-and-loop fastener of the other kind is fitted to a position of the chopsticks in contact therewith to hold the chopsticks by attaching both fasteners to each other. The lower chopstick is prevented from sliding down from the third finger tip, and the upper chopstick is directed in the same direction as the index finger. The chopsticks can be held by losing the force, and the chopstick tips can be closed or opened by bending/stretching a second joint of the index finger. When a child learns how to operate the chopsticks, a parent can assist the child to learn how to operate the chopsticks by providing an intermediate stage easy in operation.
