PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide split-toed heavy-cloth working shoes which demonstrate high gripping capability and give consideration to safety, above all to protection of trees at the time of deforestation. SOLUTION: The split-toed heavy-cloth working shoes are equipped with a sole 7 which has no spikes, but is arranged with numerous gripping units 4, 5, 6, 21, composed of bases 1 that are fitted with projecting parts 2, 3 whose tips are formed to nearly flat or spherical shapes. The bases of these gripping units 4, 5, 6, 21 have a difference in levels to the plane of the sole 7 due to the projecting parts 2, 3, of the bases 1 and these parts such as the projecting parts 2, 3, the bases 1, and the plane of the sole 7 are integrated to form one body of high gripping split-toed heavy-cloth working shoes.
