PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve simplification of working mechanism of a seedling takeout tool in a seedling transplanter for conveying a nursery tray in which a seedling is accommodated to a raising seedling pot to a prescribed takeout position of the seedling along a prescribed conveying route, inserting the seedling takeout tool into the raising seedling pot in the nursery tray at the takeout position to takeout the seedling and planting the seedling to a field. SOLUTION: The working mechanism of the seedling takeout tool 80 is configured by installing an impelling means 89 for applying a force to the seedling takeout tool 80 to the direction inserting into the raising seedling pot and cam mechanisms 86 and 87 for driving the seedling takeout tool 80 to the direction escaping from the raising seedling pot as combination.
