Electro-fishing apparatus comprising a trawling net (16) which during operat ion is towed over the bottom, a combination of electrode s (10, 12) which, during operation, are towed over the bottom at a distance in front (14) of the net (16), and a pulse generator (28) which is connected to said electrodes (10, 12) to generate during operation a pulsed electric field in the water. The electrodes comprise at least partly a number of electrically conducting bodies (10a, 10b, 10c,...) each through a separate connection cable connected to said pulse gene rator (28), whereby the water contacting surface of each electrically conducting b ody (10) is limited such that a specific electrical resi stance is created. The pulse generator (28) is embodied such that each of said elec trically conducting bodies (10) can be powered separatel y to generate a field between the momentaneously powered electrically conducting body (10) and another electrode (12).
