PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dry a mattress without warming. SOLUTION: Air introduced from the outside is cooled below a dew-point temperature to condense moisture by means of a cooling fin 1a thermally coupled to the endothermic connection of a thermoelectric element 1, and a fan motor 2 introduces the air from the outside through the cooling fin 1a and feeds it to a heating fin 1b, which is thermally coupled to the heating side connection of the thermoelectric element 1 by an aluminum plate 3a. The air cooled by the cooling fin 1a and dehumidified is warmed to approximately its original temperature. The air passing through the heating fin 1b is further fed into a bag (bag made of cloth) 4 made of cloth similar to the cloth of a conventional mattress dryer. The cloth bag 4 is sandwiched between a mattress 7a and a quilt 7b and the dry air from the heating fin 1b is passed between the mattress and the quilt to dry them.
