PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a coating peels off when a plate, after being coated, is wound in a hoop form, or comes in contact with a traveling roller. SOLUTION: A plate of an alkaline secondary battery is manufactured by including a water-repellent treatment process in which a water-repellent treatment solution 4, prepared by dispersing a water-repellent polymer in an organic solvent, is applied on the surface of a hydrogen storage alloy electrode 2 made by forming an active material layer on a conductive support, by use of a spray device 1 where the treatment solution 4 is converted into mist by a pressurized gas 3. |
