PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration damping device for a vehicle of improved structure, readily securing effective vibration damping effects on vibration inputted in a plurality of directions and improving the vibration damping effect by reducing resistance caused by friction between the independent mass member and a housing, so as to allow the independent mass member to be displaced efficiently jumping up. SOLUTION: The use of the independent mass member 50 having a spherical outer peripheral surface permits improvement and stabilization of vibration damping effect by reducing the frictional resistance and stabilizing an abutting state against the housing 40 in the displacement of the independent mass member 50, in addition to easily securing damping effect on vibration inputted in a plurality of directions.
