PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a kind of used load and to select an electric power, an efficiency, and a lamp cost that user desires, by setting a fluorescent lamp of different kinds such as rating power, shape or the like as a fitted load, in a discharge lamp lighting device which utilizes a resonance action of a resonant circuit by a high frequency output of an inverter circuit. SOLUTION: In the discharge lamp lighting device, comprising at least one of an inductor L1, a capacitor C3, and a discharge lamp 5, to which a high frequency voltage output from the inverter circuit 3 is inputted, and which is equipped with the resonant circuit 6 that turns on a discharge lamp load by the resonance action, fluorescent lamps are made to have lamp currents of nearly 400 to 460 mA as a fitted load, which forms all the light flux as the discharge lamp load 5. |
