The portable pallet puller comprises a hollow body (10) in which an actuator is fixed. The actuator is connected to a supply connection (24) and a supply control valve (42) for activating vertical translation of an actuator rod supporting a plate (22). The plate is returned to its retracted position by a spring (23a) so that the actuator returns to its bottom position when the control valve is connected to the atmosphere. An Independent claim is also included for the dismantling method.
