摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake air quantity control device for an internal com bustion engine without generating shock, even if increase in intake air quantity by a dash pot control is deceased at transmission, or the increase itself is inhib ited and restored thereafter. SOLUTION: Restoration to a normal intake air quantity increase by dash pot standby quantity Dp (S322) is performed, after temporary dash pot standby quantity DPP according to volume efficiency VE temporarily becomes below a decreased determining value EQSMTL during transmission ('YES' in S310) and by a timing, when the quantity DPP becomes above an increase determining value EQSMTH ('NO' in S318). In this way, intake air quantity is restored to the quantity increased normally by the dash pot standby quantity Dp prior to the completion of engagement of a clutch. Therefore, shock due to transmission of a rapid increase in output torque in the engine to a drive system is prevented. Even if the engagement of the clutch is completed, the rapid increase in output torque in the engine is suppressed.</p>
