PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic wave probe for an ultrasonic wave diagnostic unit, which eliminates acoustic matching error due to interposition of a conductor layer so as to realize compatibility between an optimized acoustic matching condition and an optimized electric conductor path thereby obtaining highly accurate ultrasonic wave image diagnostic information. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic wave probe uses conductor layers 12, 13 where the thickness of parts in duplicate with electrodes 2, 3 of a piezoelectric vibrator 1 differs from the thickness of parts not in duplicate with the electrodes 2, 3 and thinning the thickness of the conductor layers 12, 13 of the parts (acoustic affected area) in duplicate with the electrodes 2, 3 of the piezoelectric vibrator 1 eliminates the acoustic matching error, and thickening the thickness of the conductor layers of other electric conductor paths, lowers the electric impedance so as to realize the compatibility between the optimized acoustic matching condition and the optimized electric conductor path.
