PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary kiln for combustion, melting or the like, which is capable of preventing the adhesion of molten substance in a melting zone to a wide range while promoting the mixing in a drying zone and a combustion zone. SOLUTION: The inner diameter of the rotary kiln near a charging port is larger compared with the inner diameter of the same near the discharging port of the same.
