TRAINING OF EQUALIZER FOR ADSL TRANSCEIVER UNDER TCM-ISDN CROSSTALK ENVIRONMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for a training of an equalizer for a transceiver, in compliance with the ADSL addendum C that eliminates inter-code interference so as to neutralize the action of a strong crosstalk noise. SOLUTION: No cyclic prefix is introduced for a TEQ training phase 611. A TEQ is trained for only a FEXT symbol except the one adjacent to a NEXT symbol. In an early phase 615 of FEQ training, no cyclic prefix is introduced. The FEQ is trained for the FEXT symbol except that adjacent to the NEXT symbol. For a latter training phase 621 after the cyclic prefix is introduced (617), the training of the FEQ is continued (623), by using the signal received only on all the FEXT symbols.
