The bearing bush (2) comprises at least one central flange (6) which is located at a distance from the bush ends, and takes the form of a closed bead. The bush is used for insertion into a roll made of an elastic material, in particular, rubber. An Independent claim is also included for the manufacturing method of the bush. A mandrel is inserted into the blank of the bearing, and the blank is held on its outer surface, with at least one zone at a distance from the blank ends left free.
