<p>A spindle (1) to be used with apparatus for manufacturing tubular articles comprises a support structure (9) on which plate-like elements (12) are slidably guided, each of said plate-like elements (12) being arranged to carry out a forward stroke and a return stroke. The plate-like elements (12) are driven in rotation together with the support structure (9) due to the presence of interconnecting means (18). The spindle (1) further comprises a circumferential guide cam (15) which is fixed and interacts with the end (12a) of each plate-like element (12) to cause the rectilinear reciprocating motion of the latter. The number of plate-like elements (12) carrying out the forward stroke is higher than the number of plate-like elements (12) carrying out the return stroke. In addition, due to the conformation of the circumferential guide cam (15), the plate-like elements (12) during their return stroke move more quickly than during the forward stroke. <IMAGE></p> |
