The method involves burning at least one organic fuel (7) in supercritical water (9K) with a defined quantity of air at a predetermined temperature of at least 400 degrees C and at a defined pressure of 250 bars to release thermal energy. The ratios of fuel, air (8) and water are selected so that the ratio of fuel and air to supercritical water is preferably 30 : 70.
