The invention relates to a method for cross-linking a coating of pressure-sensitive adhesive systems on a carrier material. The inventive method is characterised in that the pressure-sensitive adhesive system which is situated on the carrier material is exposed to radiation of accelerated electrons by means of a radiation device. The carrier material coated with the pressure-sensitive adhesive system that has to be exposed to radiation runs over a roller. A contact medium is located between the roller and the carrier material during radiation.
