<p>In a component video signal comprising a luminance signal and two color difference signals, a copy-prohibition information is superimposed on one of the color difference signals, while an information indicating that the copy-prohibition information is present on the one of the color difference signals is superimposed on the other. Alternatively, the copy-prohibition information is superimposed on the luminance signal or in the vertical or horizontal blanking interval. In this way, it can be judged, without viewer's awareness, whether the video can be copied or not, and copy guard of the component image signal can be realized.</p> |
