The invention relates to a method for producing displays. All steps for producing the display are carried out in a conventional manner apart from the step: separating into individual displays. Said last step is carried out in a clean room by means of a laser. Separating can be carried out by nicking using a laser and by subsequently breaking or by totally cutting through by means of a laser.
