The present invention discloses a novel polypeptide, a human TNFR/NGFR protein containing cytochrome C domain, the polynucleotide encoding the polypeptide and the method for producing the polypeptide by DNA recombinant technology. The invention also discloses the uses of the polypeptide in methods for treating various diseases, such as malignant tumour and cancer, nervous system disease, development disturbance disease etc. The invention also discloses the agonists against the polypeptide and the therapeutic action thereof.
