METHOD FOR PURIFYING AQUEOUS SOLUTION OF ETHYLENEMINE POLYMER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for purifying an ethylenemine polymer adaptable to industrially required quality standards by a simple operation. SOLUTION: A reaction mixture containing ethyleneimine obtained by a catalytic intramolecular dehydratoin reaction of monoethanolamine is subjected to a simple distrillation operation to recover crude ethyleneimine, which is polymerized in an aqueous medium to give an aqueous solution of an ethyleneimine polymer. This solution is heated to evaporate and remove water.
