PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distal end of an ultrasonic endoscope that can permit a light guide fiber bundle to be juxtaposed with a signal cable for an ultrasonic probe with no interference in between, and can permit the use of a light guide of a sufficient thickness with no increase in thickness of an insertion part. SOLUTION: A light guide fiber bundle 50 is inserted in an insertion part 1, 10 in parallel with the axis of the insertion part 1, 10, and in a forward portion of the insertion part 1, 10, is inclined forward and downward before the portion down to an emission end 50a is curved upward.
