PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve using efficiency of energy using power of a motor effectively in a machine tool continuing driving the rotation shaft with the motor during non-machining. SOLUTION: A grinding wheel shaft 7, a motor 8, and an electric generator 11 are disposed on a wheel spindle stock 5 of a grinding disk. A clutch 10 is interposed between the motor 8 and the electric generator 11. A capacitor 12 is coupled to the electric generator 11, and to a pump 14 for supplying hydraulic fluid through a power supply switching apparatus 13. The clutch 10 is connected during the non-machining to drive the grinding wheel shaft 7 and the electric generator 11 with a motor 8, electric power of the electric generator 11 is accumulated in the capacitor 12, and the pump 14 is driven with the electric power of the capacitor 12.
