PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the efficiencies for designing and manufacturing a CPU of small throughput and prevent errors in the installed position of the CPU. SOLUTION: A CPU of the same structure is used as the sub-CPU 42 or the backup CPU 43 of a control device 40. The CPU has a sub-program control part 65 of small throughput and a backup program control part 66 and is further provided with verification ports 67. From a substrate, verification voltages for verifying the sub CPU 42 and the backup CPU 43 are imparted to the respective verification ports 67 and 67 so that a determination is made as to whether the CPU is used as the sub CPU 42 or the backup CPU 43 according to the verification voltages.
