PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a product of an ultraviolet-protecting agent having effective action for protecting an organic material, especially the skin and/or the hair of a human from ultraviolet rays, and capable of being compounded readily in an aqueous system or a lipophilic system. SOLUTION: An aqueous dispersion of a scarcely water-soluble or water- insoluble organic UV-filter material containing at least one kind of scarcely water-soluble or water-insoluble organic UV-filter material as an amorphous or partially amorphous colloidal dispersion phase.
