SEPARATION METHOD OF VALUABLE MATERIALS FROM USED PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recovery method of valuable metals from crushed printed circuit boards. SOLUTION: When valuable materials are separated from the used printed circuit boards, they are crushed by an impact type ball mill into under 500μm in size. And the fragments are pressure molded to get the targets. After they are irradited with the laser beam, they are separated into volatile ingredients, and metals and inorganic ingredients and recovered. Before the printed circuit boards are supplied into the ball mill, it is preferable to cut them into 1-10 cm square pieces. One laser beam may be selected from exima laser beam, YGA laser beam and carbon dioxide gas laser beam.
