PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video device and method capable of executing the rerecording of a program whose recording has failed and reviewing a program whose recording cannot be executed or recording a broadcast program under a better condition by retrieving rebroadcast information and attaining simple program reservation. SOLUTION: The video device for recording a broadcast program to be broadcasted in a listening or video medium is provided with a broadcast receiving part 101 for acquiring information concerned with the broadcast program, a rebroadcast retrieving part 106 for retrieving the rebroadcast schedule of the program from the information and a program reservation management part 110 for executing program reservation based on the schedule. |
