PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC card by which an access situation to a mounted memory or a free capacitance state is easily recognized. SOLUTION: A card baseboard 1 is provided with a memory 4 for performing reading and writing via a controller 5 and a light-emitting element 13, such as an LED to be display-controlled by the controller is also arranged. The controller responds to a command which is given from an external part, controls the driving of the light-emitting element, displays a state during a memory access operation and displays the free capacitance of the memory, based on sector management information of the memory. Then the occurrence of a situation where the IC card is erroneously ejected from a card socket in the case of performing access to destroy data is reduced to urge the preparation of a preliminary memory card.
