PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of obtaining the sheet feeding tray information of an image forming device even when a host terminal 100 exists at a place away from the image forming device. SOLUTION: When printing is carried out by a host terminal 100, a printer driver built in the host terminal 100 inquires sheet feeding tray information indicating the kinds of sheets preserved in a sheet feeding tray to an image forming device 200. A control part 103 of the image forming device 200 preserves the sheet feeding tray information in the management table of a storage part 104. Then, a printer driver acquires the sheet feeding tray information preserved in the storage part 104 in which the management table exists.
