PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device which make it possible to obtain digital images having excellent color reproducibility from silver halide heat developable color photographic sensitive materials respectively having brightness information photosensitive layers and color information recording layers and further, the method capable of obtaining a digital image having high quality even in the state of non-desilverization treatment and the device thereof. SOLUTION: The digital color image forming method from the color photographic sensitive materials containing a compound forming dyestuffs having the maximum absorption wavelength by development processing in a non-visible wavelength region and having silve halide emulsion layer is characterized in that the image components of the dyestuffs included in the visible color separation images are subjected to subtraction processing by using the reading images in the non-visible wavelength region of the dyestuffs.
