PURPOSE: A face of a golf club head with a carving projection is provided to prevent the phenomenon of slip by increasing a contact area between the face and a golf ball in the case of swing impact. CONSTITUTION: In the golf club head comprised of a neck(1) for receiving a club shaft, a sole(2) forming a bottom plane, a crown(3) or a top edge forming a top plane, and a face(4), the face is provided with several carving projections(p) having a uniform size at regular distances. The carving projection is formed into a cylinder having various cross sectional shapes including a rectangular, a trapezoid, a hemisphere and so on. Also, the number of the carving projections is increased or decreased toward a desired direction. |
