Extraction of an active principle with a depigmenting and lightening action from nasturtium and the active principle so obtained. Powdered nasturtium plant is mixed with water at 50 g/l, the soluble and insoluble phases are separated, the active principle in the soluble phase is separated and subjected to sterilizing filtration.
