PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit breaker that can improve current-limiting function, by increasing electromagnetic repulsive force acting between a movable contactor and a coupling conductor so as to quicken contact opening. SOLUTION: When a movable contact 35 and a fixed contact 4 are shut together, electromagnetic repulsion is generated between a fixed contactor 3 and a movable contactor 34, and an opposite arm 34c formed opposite to a coupling arm 33a is arranged on one end of a movable arm 34b. In this way, electromagnetic repulsion are made to be generated also between the coupling arm 33a and the opposite arm 34c.
