Turbo-decoder for turbo-coded data signals e.g. for mobile radio communications

The tubo-decoder uses iterative decoding of a detected data signal (D) using a processing loop with successive symbol estimation for the input data signal via different partial redundancy data signals and data signal feedback. The symbol estimation processing steps are provided by a first processor (MAPDEC), with a second processor used for the remaining processing steps, with a bidirectional interface (FMI) for communication between them.
