PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided to prevent discharge caused by unnecessary charges by preventing unnecessary charges from remaining at the edge of the front substrate which is an ineffective area. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel includes a rear substrate having a plurality of barriers coated with fluorescent layers; and a front substrate(10) sealed to the upper surface of the rear substrate, and which has sustaining electrodes(11) arranged in a lengthwise direction at a predetermined spacing. The front substrate has a charge removing member(14) arranged at one of upper or lower surface of the front substrate so as to remove unnecessary charges generated by the current flowing through the sustaining electrode. The charge removing member is formed of an earth electrode which is disposed in a lengthwise direction with respect to the upper surface and the lower surface of the front substrate, and formed of a conductive material. The charge removing member has both ends extended to the outside of the edge of the front substrate which is an ineffective area. |
