PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately decide the stop of an engine and to enhance sureness of the subsequent restarting in a vehicle performing automatic stop and restarting of an engine according to an operation state of a hybrid vehicle. SOLUTION: When engine speed is less than a reference value NTPNG# when an engine restarting request is generated after an engine stop command is given, starting time parameter settings such as specific fuel injection quantity and ignition timing are performed at the time of starting. As a result, the parameter settings required for starting under condition that the measurement of intake amount can not be exactly performed due to low rotation are quickly enforced and the enforcement can be provided for the subsequent restarting.
