PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetically sealed compressor capable of improving welding performance with a closed container as well as improving sliding perfor mance by forming a main frame of casting. SOLUTION: Since the main frame 2 is formed by dividing into a partition part 2a made of steel material having a good weldability and a main body part 2b formed of casting having a good sliding performance, the weldability of the first closed container 1a and the second closed container 1b with the partition part is not impaired, and the sliding performance with a turning scroll 6a is also ensured. Since a welding material flows into a clearance formed by tapers disposed on an inner end of the first closed container and an inner end of the second closed container, the weldability with the main frame is more reinforced, and sealing performance of an electric motor chamber 5 with a delivery chamber 4 is ensured.
