PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for purification of an ethylene imine polymer which is capable of obtaining the ethylene imine polymer with such a high purity as suitable to a quality standard industrially required, by an easy purifying operation of the ethylene imine polymer which is obtained by firstly an easy distilling operation of the ethylene imine-containing reaction mixture that is obtained by a catalytic intramolecular dehydration reaction of monoethanol amine and recovering a crude ethylene imine and then by secondly polymerizing this crude ethylene imine. SOLUTION: The process comprises any one of the following treatments (A) to (C) of an ethylene imine polymer. (A): to bubble an inert gas into an ethylene imine polymer; (B): to add water to an ethylene imine polymer, to blend and then to evaporate the water off, and (C): to add water to an ethylene imine polymer, to blend, and then to evaporate the water off as well as to bubble an inert gas into the ethylene imine polymer.
