PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly and surely guide a sheet in the expansion and contraction of a carrying passage length and stably carry the sheet. SOLUTION: This device comprises a guide means 126 arranged between a pair of rollers 100b and 102a to guide the accumulative phosphor sheet S along a vertical carrying passage 106. The guide means 126 comprises first to fourth tape members 136a-136d extensible and contractible in conformation to the change of the vertical carrying passage 106 when the roller 100b is raised and lowered to extend and contract the vertical carrying passage 106. The ends of the first to fourth tape members 136a-136d are drawably housed in first to fourth housing mechanisms 142a, 142b, 160a and 160b.
