PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a cyanoacylurea compound, by which the highly pure cyanoacylurea compound can be produced in a good yield in an industrially preferable state. SOLUTION: This method for producing the cyanoacylurea compound by reacting anα-cyanoacetic acid with urea and acetic anhydride is characterized by performing the reaction in a hydrocarbon-based solvent and separating the produced crystals.
