PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diesel particulate filter (hereinafter referred to as a DP filter) system easily mountable into a metal shell and having a holding seal member with an excellent cushion property. SOLUTION: This DP filter system 5 comprises: the DP filter 3; the metal shell 2 covering an outside of the DP filter 3; and the holding seal member 1 arranged between the DP filter 3 and the metal shell 2. In this DP filter system 5, the holding seal member 1 comprises an inorganic fiber mat subjected to a needle punching treatment with a density of 50 to 3000 per 100 cm2, has an organic content ranging from 0 to 2% by weight, and generates 5 to 1000 kPa bearing pressure when heated to 300 to 500 deg.C in a packing density of 0.15 to 0.55 g/cm3. |
