PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass for substrate which has a high Young's modulus and also a high coefficient of expansion. SOLUTION: This glass for substrate comprises 10-50 mol% of Al2O3, 20-70 mol% of CaO, 0-25 mol% of SiO2, 0-25 mol% of MgO, 0-25 mol% of SrO, 0-25 mol% of BaO, 0-25 mol% of ZnO, 0-25 mol% of TiO2, 0-15 mol% of ZrO2, 0-15 mol% of Li2O, 0-15 mol% of Na2O, 0-15 mol% of K2O, 0-25 mol% of Y2O3 and 0-25 mol% of La2O3. |
