PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molten glass feeder hardly causing a looseness in the chuck part of a clay plunger. SOLUTION: In this molten glass feeder having a clay plunger 43 chucked by a clay plunger chuck 44, extruding molten glass by stroke of the clay plunger 43 through an orifice of molten glass feeding part and feeding the molten glass to a glass bottle forming machine, the clay plunger chuck 44 is formed into a nearly half-divided structure and has a taper structure in which the diameter of the inner face is enlarged toward the upper direction and the inner end part 43A of the clay plunger 43 chucked by the clay plunger chuck 44 is made to correspond to the above inner face to provide a taper structure in which the diameter is enlarged toward the upper direction.
