PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a safety by automatically controlling the lifting operation of a movable bridge for ferry to save labor. SOLUTION: This movable bridge device for a ferry 3 comprises a movable bridge 1, a lifting device 2, a ramp way 4, an upper distance sensor 5, a clinometer 6, a controller 7 having a calculation part 71, a variation control part 72 and the like, an axle weight measurer 8 for performing a predicted control when a heavy vehicle passes though the device, a sea level distance sensor 9 and the like. The movable bridge is liftably controlled by the controller 7 so that the movable bridge and the ramp way are positioned at an appropriate angle relative to each other, whereby the operation when the ferry gets to the shore and vehicles get on and off the ferry is automated and labor-saved, and an accident such as the collision of the body of a vehicle is surely prevented.
