PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To judge abnormality of a fan motor from a room temperature and a heat- exchange temperature. SOLUTION: An air-conditioner comprises a fan motor to drive a compressor and an indoor fan by a difference between a room temperature R detected by a room temperature sensor provided in the vicinity of the suction side of a heat-exchanger, and a set temperature, an indoor control device to set the number of revolutions of a fan motor, a heat-exchange sensor to detect the temperature of the heat-exchanger, and a display part to display abnormality. The indoor control device is provided at its interior with a heat-exchange temperature comparing part to compare a temperature T of the heat-exchange sensor with a predetermined constant A, a computing part to calculate a difference S between the temperature T and the room temperature R, and a timer to count a time Y after a stop of the compressor, and a deciding part to read the room temperature sensor and the heat-exchange sensor after the timer counts a given time and output a fan motor abnormality signal by counting the number of occurring times of a condition that the temperature T of the heat- exchange sensor exceeds a constant and the difference S exceeds a constant B. By an output from the deciding part, operation is stopped and abnormality of the fan motor is displayed at the display part. |
