PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage of a building caused by an earthquake, and to surely restore the building to an original position by constructing a foundation and a sill of the building by this architectural earthquake motion cushioning foundation construction method. SOLUTION: This architectural earthquake motion cushioning foundation construction method for restoring the building to the original position by eliminating relative displacement of the building and the foundation caused in an earthquake time by adjusting horizontal inertia force and a displacement quantity of the earthquake, is constituted by sandwiching a truncated cone-shaped top 14 slidable with a spring anchor 12 as a central shaft between the foundation 2 and a spring 10.
